Our mission as leaders of the teen and youth department is to mold True Young Disciples by first being a disciple ourselves committed to ministry.  We engage the youth in activities that will expound on the teachings of Jesus Christ though our Chief Apostle Dr. Gary B. McLaurin, prepare them for real world applications of such teachings, and expose them to new and exciting ventures.  We also establish and maintain a positive rapport with the youth and their parents.  For the success of our mission, each subsidiary of TYD (Angelic Temples, Amazing Phi Grace, Young Ladies of Excellence, Young Men of Integrity, etc.) holds regular meetings where learning and growing take place.  Furthermore, the children are able to participate in outings to broaden their scope of life.  We will make ourselves available to solve problems and answer questions as well as become involved in the lives of our children, checking on their schooling, home life, peers, and other extracurricular activities.  It is important to empower our youth and help them learn to exemplify Christ.  Developing balance between ministry, school, and all other activities ensures their future victories as well-rounded and versatile individuals.
